Man charged after woman's body found inside Queensland home

A man has been charged with murder after a woman's body was found inside a home on Queensland's Fraser Coast yesterday.

Police allege a 43-year-old Owanyilla man attended Maryborough Police Station about 5.30pm.

Detectives attended a home on Old Gympie Road in Owanyilla shortly after, finding a 30-year-old woman dead inside.

Police allege the 43-year-old man and woman were known to each other.

The man has since been charged with one count of murder (domestic violence offence) and will appear in the Maryborough Magistrates Court today.
