A woman has been charged with manslaughter after she allegedly failed to engage the handbrake on her car and it careered out of control, killing another woman in southeast Queensland.

Police say the car's automatic transmission was still in drive when, on November 11, 2015, the car rolled down the driveway of a car park on Brisbane Road, Booval and hit a 33-year-old woman who died at the scene.

A 29-year-old Brassall woman has been charged with manslaughter and is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on September 20, 2016.
