Man uses gun to steal drink

A thirsty thief has used a gun to steal a soft drink from a Gold Coast service station.
Police say the man took a drink from the fridge of a Hope Island service station, before approaching the counter and producing what appeared to be a gun in the early hours of Sunday.
The attendant retreated to a room behind the counter unhurt and the man left with the drink.
