Man threatened with rifle during car theft

A man has been threatened with a rifle during a brazen car robbery on the Gold Coast.

The man returned to his home in Tallai on Tuesday afternoon to find a white car parked in the driveway, with a woman in the driver's seat. The garage door had also been forced open.

As he approached the car a man came out of the garage and threatened him with a rifle, forcing him to reverse his car out of the driveway.

The woman in the white car then drove off, while the armed man and a second man followed in the victim's Nissan Skyline GTR.

No one was injured and the trio remain on the run.
