Several people at stabbing murder: police

Police believe several people might have been involved in the stabbing murder of a 23-year-old man at a Brisbane industrial precinct.

He was found with multiple wounds in a vacant lot in Carole Park early on Thursday morning after a woman saw suspected offenders flee the scene and raised the alarm.

Detective Inspector Lew Strohfeldt, who described the attack as "brutal and callous", said two cars were involved, one of which had three people inside.

He urged anyone who was in the area between 10pm on Wednesday and 6am on Thursday to contact police.

"We believe there was (another car) involved but there is no description of the vehicle," Det Strohfeldt said.

"There may well be several people involved in the death of this young man."

Attempts to perform CPR on the victim were unsuccessful.
