Man stabbed in arm in attempted robbery

A takeaway shop employee has been stabbed in the arm and two men have been charged following an attempted robbery in Ipswich.

Police allege the 25-year-old shop assistant was stabbed when he struggled with one of the men in the Leichhardt business on Tuesday night.

The victim was taken to Ipswich General Hospital with a serious injury.

Police arrested two men at a nearby address a short time later and both will face Ipswich Magistrates Court on Thursday.
