Man stabbed at Gold Coast home

A man has been stabbed in the forearm after an apparent domestic dispute on the Gold Coast.

Paramedics and police were called to the Highland Park home at 11.25am on Wednesday where the man was found with a stab wound to his arm.

He was taken by ambulance to the Robina Hospital where he is in a stable condition, Queensland Ambulance Media told AAP.

Police investigators were heading to the scene amid initial reports a woman at the home may have stabbed the man during an argument.

A Queensland Police media spokesman said it was too early to speculate on the exact circumstances behind the incident.

The news comes just two days after pregnant Brazilian woman Fabiana Palhares, 34, died from head injuries suffered during an alleged assault at her Varsity Lakes home on Monday.
