Man slashed with glass on Gold Coast

A man has been slashed in the chest with a broken bottle during a fight between two groups of men at Burleigh Waters on the Gold Coast.

Police say one group was at a bar at Santa Maria Court on Saturday evening when they got into a fight with a man who then left and returned with other men.

That sparked a big fight during which a man received a wound to his upper chest from a broken bottle, requiring treatment at a Gold Coast hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police investigations are continuing.
