Man pleads guilty to attack on racer's son

A man has pleaded guilty to his role in the kidnapping of motor racing champion Gregg Hansford's son in November 2015.

Harrison Donovan-Hansford was taken to a Kangaroo Point apartment and tortured over several hours before being ordered to withdraw $31,000 from a bank.

The 21-year-old suffered injuries to his cheekbone, nose and ribs as well as bruises.

Camryn Ruadhri Lloyd pleaded guilty in the Brisbane District Court on Thursday to five charges including extortion and deprivation of liberty.

Lloyd was released on bail and is due to be sentenced in the same court on March 24.

Awil Farah Salad, Christiaan Michael Brockhurst-Challoner and Mariner Thorpe Rood will stand trial on March 13 for their alleged involvement in the attack on Mr Donovan-Hansford.

Gregg Hansford was an Australian motorcycle champion and touring car driver who died in 1995 when his Ford Mondeo crashed while competing in a Super Touring Car race at Victoria's Phillip Island.
