Man on the run after Qld joyride

A man remains on the run after taking a stolen car on a joy-ride through southeast Queensland and northern NSW.

The ute was reported stolen at Burleigh on Tuesday morning and was driven south to Coolangatta and across the border before returning to Queensland.

A woman was arrested at Merrimac, where the car was dumped, and a man remains at large in the same area, a Qld police spokesman says.
