Man dies in country Qld house fire

A man has died after a fire ripped through a house in southern Queensland.

Fire investigators are probing the cause of the blaze, which caused significant damage to the two-storey home at Dalby on Wednesday night.

A man's body was found inside the house shortly after firefighters put out the fire.

Four crews spent nearly an hour trying to extinguish the blaze and two firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion.
