Man killed in collision with truck

A man has been killed after his vehicle collided with a truck towing three trailers 12km east of Mt Isa.

The accident occurred shortly before 5.30pm on Thursday. A second truck, towing three trailers of cattle, swerved to avoid the accident and caught fire.

The male driver of the vehicle died at the scene and one truck driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
