Man injured in Gold Coast hit and run

A man has a fractured leg and lacerations after being hit by a car while he was walking on the Gold Coast Highway.

The car didn't stop after the accident at 2.20am on Wednesday, but a 19-year-old man has since handed himself in to police.

He's now being questioned, while the injured man is being treated at Gold Coast University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
