A Queensland man accused of raping a schoolgirl south of Brisbane has been remanded in custody.

The victim, 13, was walking home near Sturdee Park, Loganlea, on Friday afternoon when she was attacked and dragged into bushes.

Police arrested a 28-year-old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, later that evening and began collecting CCTV footage from the area.

The man was not required to appear when the matter was mentioned in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday.

He faces three charges of rape and one of deprivation of liberty.

The man's legal aid lawyer made no application for bail and requested an adjournment of three to four weeks so a full legal aid application could be completed.

Magistrate Ronald Kilner adjourned the case until April 21.
