Man hospitalised in Gold Coast pub bashing

A man has been hospitalised after an unprovoked attack at a pub on the Gold Coast.

Police say the 32-year-old man was sitting on the hotel's balcony in Broadbeach when another man approached and repeatedly punched him in the head early on Friday morning.

The 32-year-old victim was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while police are searching for his attacker who fled the scene.
