Weapon used in Townsville hostel death

Police are questioning two residents of a budget Townsville hostel where a man's battered body was found.

The 30-year-old victim suffered severe head injuries during a fight in a room at the inner city Sturt Lodge on Tuesday night.

Police won't say what weapon was used in the attack, but say all three men knew each other. No charges have yet been laid.
