Man dies after fall from Surfers Paradise hotel balcony

A man has died after he fell from a Surfers Paradise hotel balcony.

Authorities were called to the scene around 2.40pm (AEST) today.

It is believed the man fell from a seventh floor balcony at the Beachcomber Resort, according to The Gold Coast Bulletin.

A spokeswoman for the Queensland Ambulance Service said the man died at the scene.

A spokesman for Queensland Police could not confirm whether it was an accident and said investigators remained on the scene near Surfers Paradise Boulevard.
