Wife remanded over Qld stabbing murder

A woman has been remanded in custody after she was charged with the stabbing murder of her husband at a home south of Brisbane.

Vanessa Lee Jenkins' matter was briefly mentioned in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Friday.

The 41-year-old, who has been charged with a single count of murder, was remanded until January 25.

Police were called to a home on Melnik Drive at Loganlea following reports of a violent argument just before 9.30pm on Thursday.

They found a 54-year-old man with a wound to his chest.

He died at the scene despite paramedics' efforts to revive him.
