Police hunt after fatal Brisbane stabbing

Police are hunting for a man who could be armed after a 54-year-old was stabbed to death in a south Brisbane suburb.

Paramedics were called to Browns Plains Road in Marsden around 3.30pm on Monday but the man, who was stabbed in the chest, was declared dead at the scene.

Queensland police say they are now searching for a 27-year-old man, who could be armed, to assist them with their investigation.

Initial investigations suggest two men were involved in a fight at the Browns Plains Road address which resulted in the stabbing.

The 27-year-old man is described as about 165cm tall with a slim build, brown hair and eyes, and he may be driving a 1994 red Honda Civic with Queensland registration 687 VMC.

Police have warned the public not to approach the man, who may be armed, or the vehicle.
