Man dies after hitting pole in Cairns

A 21-year-old man has died after his car crashed into a street pole in the Cairns suburb of Brinsmead.
Police say the Bentley Park man was one of four people in the car when it crashed just after midnight on Saturday.
He was taken to Cairns Base Hospital where he later died.
