Man dead, 3 children injured in Qld crash

A man has died and three young children have been injured after their car crashed in southeast Queensland.

Emergency crews were called to the accident on the Gore Highway, west of Toowoomba, at around 6.15am on Tuesday.

A 31-year-old man, from Wilsonton Heights, died at the scene, while three children aged under 10 years were taken to the Toowoomba Base Hospital with minor injuries.

The 27-year-old female driver of the car and a fourth child, also aged under 10, were not hurt in the crash.

The highway has since reopened and investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
