Man dead on Brisbane road 'suspicious'

Police believe a man whose body was found on a north Brisbane road died in suspicious circumstances.

The 27-year-old Deagon man was found dead by a member of the public in the middle of Barfoot Street at Bracken Ridge about 5.45am on Saturday.

Police have established a crime scene and are calling on witnesses to come forward.

A police spokeswoman said a post mortem would be conducted on the body on Sunday to determine the cause of death.

She said the man did not appear to have been hit by a car.
