Man critical after crash on Gold Coast

A man is fighting for life after his car hit a tree on the Gold Coast.
Police were alerted to the crash in Merrimac about 11pm on Friday.
The man was the only person in the car, and was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
