Man charged with murder in far north Qld

A man has been charged with the murder of a 28-year-old woman in a remote community on the Cape York peninsula.
The 28-year-old Pormpuraaw man appeared in the Cairns Magistrates Court on Tuesday afternoon and was remanded in custody, police said.
The woman's body was discovered inside a house on Yulu Street, Pormpuraaw around 7.30am on December 26.
