Man charged over alleged Qld hit and run

A man has been charged in relation to the alleged hit and run accident on the Sunshine Coast which left a 16-year-old boy seriously injured.
The Tewantin boy was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries after he was struck while crossing David Lowe Way at Noosa Heads around 2am on June 17.
A 47-year-old Peregian Springs man has been charged with one count of failure to remain at the scene of a crash and assist injured persons and is due to appear in the Noosa Magistrates Court on July 25.
