Man charged for prayer meeting stabbing

Gold Coast police have charged a man after an alleged prayer meeting stabbing at Southport.
It will be alleged the man approached another man at the religious get together and stabbed him several times in the abdomen at 12.50pm.
A 29-year-old man was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital where his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

A 28-year-old Southport man has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
