Man charged after Brisbane assault

A 24-year-old has been charged after an assault in a Brisbane car park left another man with serious head injuries.

He allegedly punched a 23-year-old man in the head in the fast food restaurant car park in Calamvale around 4am on Saturday, causing him to fall to the ground and hit his head.

The injured man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries, while the alleged attacked was charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and is set to face court on Monday.
