Man, 24, stabbed to death in Mt Isa

A 24-year-old Queensland woman is being questioned by police after a man was stabbed to death in the regional mining town of Mount Isa.

Police were called to a unit block on Dempsey Street just before 1am on Saturday morning and found the injured man, also 24, who suffered a stab wound to the chest and died at the scene shortly after their arrival.

Detectives have set up a crime scene and are appealing for anyone with information to contact authorities.
