Low speed chase leaves Qld driver deflated

There was nothing high speed about a police pursuit south of Brisbane after officers used tyre spikes to stop a stolen car.

The driver was brought to a deflated stop after a short, slow chase at Springwood on Monday afternoon.

The car was stolen from a Tanah Merah property a few hours earlier.

A 17-year-old youth will appear in court on Tuesday on dangerous driving and other charges.
