LNP name candidate to take on Wayne Swan

The Liberal National Party has preselected an environmental engineer to take on former treasurer Wayne Swan at the next federal election.

The LNP on Monday announced David Kingston would take on Mr Swan for the Labor-stronghold of Lilley in north Brisbane when the next election is called.

"As one of many small business owners which are the lifeblood of this electorate, I know more needs to be done to encourage this sector to grow and create more local jobs, particularly for younger people," Mr Kingston said.
