LNP announces Qld by-election candidate

A fifth generation Toowoomba resident has been selected as the LNP candidate for the upcoming by-election.

Bank manager David Janetzki was announced as the party nominee for the Queensland seat of Toowoomba South, west of Brisbane, on Saturday.

The date of the by-election is yet to be announced, but follows the decision of John McVeigh to contest the seat of Groom in the upcoming federal election.
