A poll of Ashgrove residents has found many are either put off or indifferent to Campbell Newman's apparent pork-barrelling tactics.

The Queensland premier faces the increasingly likely prospect of electoral defeat in his Brisbane seat, with a recent ReachTEL poll suggesting he is on track to be unseated by the ALP's Kate Jones.

Of residents surveyed, 46.5 per cent said they planned to vote for Ms Jones compared with Mr Newman's 42.3 per cent.

In new data released by Seven News on Thursday, the same residents also indicated the $10.5 million pledged by the premier to the area had not won them over.

About half said the money had no bearing on their voting intentions, while 29.2 per cent said it had actually made them less likely to back the Liberal National party.

About one-third said Ashgrove had received more than its fair share of funding since the last state election.

Queenslanders head to the polls on Saturday.
