Livestock deliberately run down in Qld
AAP
A series of road kills has police concerned that someone is deliberately running down livestock on Central Queensland roads.
Incidents have been reported on Narbethong and Tumbar Road and the Landsborough Highway, as well as sheep being struck on the Aramac Road in the Barcaldine Shire region.
The Longreach Stock and Rural Crime Investigation Squad is appealing for assistance and wants it known that deliberately running down an animal is animal cruelty and a serious offence.

"Producers face enough hardship without having their stock wilfully killed or maimed," Detective Sergeant Dave Perry said.
