Claims that Clive Palmer duped his resort manager out of millions of dollars will be heard in court from Monday.

Former Palmer Coolum Resort general manager Bill Schoch is suing the mining billionaire for $4.6 million, claiming he was tricked into signing a contract that slashed his salary and employment term.

Mr Schoch's Supreme Court lawsuit claims the "sham" contract reduced his salary from $1 million to $150,000 and his employment term from five years to one.

A two-week trial is due to start in the Brisbane Supreme Court on Monday.
