Jury retires in Qld teacher rape trial
AAP
A jury has retired to consider its verdict in the trial of a Queensland Catholic school teacher accused of raping his former partner and colleague.
The man, who has pleaded not guilty to three charges of rape, is alleged to have threatened to expose the fact the woman had an abortion if she did not stay in a relationship with him.
The man has admitted threatening to reveal the woman's abortion on one occasion, but says it was purely an attempt to prevent the woman terminating the pregnancy and he never threatened to reveal the matter unless they had sex.
