'Irish Boys' back in Qld court over fraud

The alleged masterminds of a $4 million Gold Coast investment scam are expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

Irish nationals Neil John McKenny and Stiofan Ceitinn were charged over the so-called "boiler room" call centres after an investigation by the Queensland Crime and Corruption Commission in August.

The pair was among six people to be charged over the sophisticated operation that allegedly fleeced $4 million from more than 150 victims over an 18-month period.

McKenny's bail surety was last month set at $250,000.

Two Australian brothers, Aaron and Daniel East, are also expected to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday on fraud charges related to the alleged "Irish Boys" syndicate.
