Intruder bites teen girl in Brisbane raid

A teenage girl has been bitten on the hand during a violent struggle with an intruder she disturbed at her South Brisbane home.

The 15-year-old also suffered a cut to her mouth, bruising and abrasions to her neck and legs in the struggle with the man who broke into the Dorchester Street home on Monday afternoon.

"A violent struggle ensured between the pair before the girl managed to break free and flee to a neighbouring address," police said.

The man fled the scene on foot. He's described as African in appearance, in his early to mid 20s, about 180cm tall, and of medium build.

He was wearing a white t-shirt, blue three-quarter length shorts and shoes.
