Children among dead in Brisbane car fire

Children are among three people dead in a car fire in Brisbane's east, Police Minister Mark Ryan has told Queensland parliament.

"I have just been informed by the police commissioner that three people have died, including children, in a horrific incident at Camp Hill this morning," Mr Ryan said on Wednesday morning.

"All emergency services are on scene. The situation is at a very early stage."

Police would not confirm how the fire started, or how many children were involved.

Multiple patients reportedly have serious burns and are being treated at the scene at Raven Street.

Police will hold a press conference shortly.
