A woman has been winched from a yacht and flown to hospital after she fell from the vessel at a popular snorkelling spot on the Great Barrier Reef.
A helicopter was called today to the Hardy Reef pontoon in the Whitsundays to retrieve the woman, who had a serious shoulder injury.
Paramedics believe the passenger dislocated her shoulder after she fell into a tender, which is a smaller support vessel.
