Home invasion accused in Qld court

A NSW man is set to face a Queensland court on charges related to a brutal Gold Coast home invasion.
Queensland police have extradited the 32-year-old man they allege seriously assaulted and robbed a Helensvale resident, taking jewellery and cash, on September 1 last year.
He's due to face Southport Magistrates Court on Friday on charges including burglary, grievous bodily harm and deprivation of liberty.
