Stand-off with man barricaded in motel at Sunnybank, south of Brisbane, ends peacefully

A tense stand-off, which saw a man hold police at bay from a motel in Sunnybank, south of Brisbane, has ended peacefully.
Police were called to the motel about 2pm AEDT after reports the man had barricaded himself in his room armed with a screwdriver.

An armoured Beacat vehicle and specialist police were called to the scene.
The man is now in custody.
