Two charities working in drought-hit areas of Queensland are to receive a $50,000 boost in government grants.

Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Leanne Donaldson said both Anglicare and Lifeline Darling Downs charities would each receive $25,000 as part of the Drought Relief Assistance Scheme.

"With a record 86 per cent of the state in drought this funding in the lead-up to Christmas will help people in western Queensland communities that are doing it tough," she said.
