Gold Coast detective on drugs charge

A Gold Coast detective has been charged with drug possession.

The Crime and Corruption Commission has issued the detective senior constable with a notice to appear in court on three counts of possessing dangerous drugs.

"The CCC executed a search warrant at a Gold Coast property and will allege the detective senior constable was in possession of dangerous drugs," the statement said.

The police officer is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on November 19.
