Gold Coast dad killer's sentence adjourned
AAP
A man who pleaded guilty to the 2016 shooting murder of a Gold Coast father on the day his trial was due to start has had his sentence adjourned.
Taylor Ruatara shot Jason Boyd dead at a party at his Carrara home in December 2016 and was due to learn his punishment at Brisbane Supreme Court on Wednesday.
But the sentence was adjourned to a date to be set after the court heard there were ongoing matters at Southport District Court that could affect the structure of the non-parole period Ruatara faces for the murder.
