Gold Coast beaches remain closed

Rough seas and swell from Cyclone Winston has once again forced several Gold Coast beaches to be closed on Wednesday.

All beaches north of Burleigh North are closed while all beaches south of Burleigh Heads with the exception of Rainbow Bay remain open.

Beachgoers are still being urged by lifeguards to check with them before entering the water while inexperienced boardriders are being asked to stay out of the surf.
