Four men charged over Qld cattle thefts

Four men have been charged following the alleged theft and killing of cattle from a large station in northwest Queensland.

Police executed six search warrants over three days this week and charged the men, alleging that two beasts were unlawfully killed at the cattle station near Normanton last weekend.

It's alleged that a quantity of meat, knives, mobile phones, drug paraphernalia, three vehicles and a number of firearms were recovered during the raids.

Four Normanton men, aged 23, 24, 31 and 37, have been charged with one count each of killing an animal with intent to steal and stealing.
