Four charged over Qld armed robbery

Police are trying to sort out who's been naughty or nice after a pair dressed as Santa and Spiderman allegedly robbed a service station in the Lockyer Valley, west of Brisbane.

Four people have been charged and a teenage girl has been cautioned over the raid at a Helidon service station, police said.

They say the fancy-dress assailants threatened staff with a sword and a hammer, before fleeing with some cigarettes.

No one was hurt.

Three men, aged 18 and 19, were charged with armed robbery and two counts of common assault over the incident. They were also charged with unrelated theft and other offences.

All three are expected to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Monday.

A Highfields woman, 40, was charged with receiving tainted property from the robbery, and unrelated theft and other matters.

She was bailed to appear in the same court on November 24.

A 14-year-old girl was dealt with under the Youth Justice Act over the robbery.
