First sign of $3b Qld casino appears

The first holes have been dug in the ground as part of Brisbane's $3 billion Queen's Wharf integrated resort and casino development.
Geotechnical works started on Wednesday night to help developers understand the ground conditions throughout the area.
"These investigations will continue on site throughout February and inform the details design work ahead of demolition and construction activities due to start next year," State Development Minister Dr Anthony Lynham said.
