Feds must fund public housing: Qld govt

Queensland's state government says it can't afford to have the federal government pull out of the public housing sector.

State Housing and Public Works Minister Leanne Enoch says a leaked federal proposal to end public housing funding will leave a $300 million hole in Queensland's upcoming budget.

"We cannot afford to see nearly $300 million taken from that particular part of our budget," she said.
