Far north Qld 'trespasser' to face court

A man accused of trying to steal a child after entering a far north Queensland home will front court on Thursday.
The man entered the home on Wednesday afternoon and followed a mother and her three children outside before trying to pick up one the kids, police say.
He allegedly then fled to the Ingham Police Station, jumped the counter and chased a female officer.

The 33-year-old is expected to front the Townsville Magistrates Court charged with multiple offences, including trespass and attempted child stealing.
